Every month I bring you my trends and tips for using colours. This month it’s all about the purity of pastels, they are big news for 2015.
Neutral, neutral, neutral has been the voice of many recently, but I have started to introduce pastel colours in the place of neutrals. Think mint walls, powdery pink furniture, softer blues and earthy browns.
Mix in a dash of soft metals and you have an elegant, classy, eclectic look that oozes cool effortlessly.
The Pantone colour of the year was Marsala. I wasn’t a huge fan of at first, but when mixed with a pastel palette of softer pinks, greys and powdery duck egg blue the richer Marsala tone creates just the right amount of strength to enhance a pastel colour scheme.
