Jo Hamilton revealed as new judge for illustrious awards

Interior designer Jo Hamilton has been signed up as a judge for the prestigious What House? Awards.
Jo, who recently featured in Sky Living’s Who’d Be A Billionaire, joins the judging panel with the annual awards marking their 35th year in 2016.
She is the creative director at Jo Hamilton Interiors, as well as the long-term resident interior designer for Grand Designs, where she is also a key speaker and show ambassador along with Channel Four stars Kevin McCloud, Charlie Luxton and George Clarke.
London-based Jo, who has run her own interior design consultancy for 20 years, will be helping to decide the UK’s best among 20 categories, including the biggest prize in British housebuilding — The WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year.
Jo said: “To be part of the What House? Awards judging panel is a tremendous privilege. I have been to many of their awards ceremonies in the past and know just how highly-regarded and exclusive they are.
“Both developers and the general public see the stamp of the awards, rightly, as a trusted mark of quality and so I feel honoured to have been asked to be part of it all, bringing my own experience of design and the home-building sector to the judging process.”
She joins a judging panel that includes experts from the worlds of architecture, construction and property media.
What House? editorial director Rupert Bates said: “We are delighted to have Jo on board. She is hugely talented and regarded and joins an outstanding panel of judges, leading professionals in their fields, with a passion for helping to drive up the quality of new homes, rewarding the very best in the industry.”
More than 1,700 industry professionals are expected at November’s glitzy awards ceremony in the Grosvenor House Hotel, in London’s Park Lane, which last year was hosted by comedian David Walliams.
